The Hoose oan The Sand
[…]
So the message tae take
Frae wee Jimmy’s mistake
Is that, when you go buildin a hoose,
If ye want it tae last,
Get foundations rock fast,
Fur withoot them the rest is nae use.
And, as Jesus made clear,
Aw the people who hear
Whit he teaches, but choose to ignore,
And instead take a stand
Oan the world’s shiftin sand,
Wull find oot that there’s trouble in store.
Fur they’ll aw discover
That life’s cosy cover
Wull wan day be washed clean away.
They’ll be left oan the beach,
Wi aw hope oot o reach,
When it comes to that last judgement day.
But the wans who decide
Tae no drift wi the tide,
But instead pit their trust in the Lord,
Tho’ they might still get wet,
They’ll eventually get
A heavenly hame fur reward.
So ye see that yer faith
And yer hoose, they should baith
Be established upon a sound base.
Then, whitever befa’s
Ye’ll huv good steady wa’s
Tae keep some o the rain aff yer face!
